MEDCat Auto Sampler

I designed the wireframes for a mechanical engineering student’s project, the MEDCat Auto Sampler. This project focuses on making an auto sampling device, and I designed the interface that appears on the touchscreen of the device to control and run it.

I wanted to make the interface simple and easy to read so engineers could use the auto sampler quickly and smoothly. An uncomplicated interface would also allow little room for error in their setup and execution of the sampler.

I made sure to make the text a readable size and font, and chose colors that would be easy to see and understand. An example of my color choices is shown in the button colors, where the start button is green and the stop button is red to be instantly clear about the buttons’ purposes.
